Islamabad—Pakistan beat England by 9 wickets and won  the first official one-day international  Series between two Physical Disability sides played at the ICC Global Cricket Academy on yesterday in Dubai. Electing to bat, England were chiply out only 75runs in 30  overs, Callum Flynn 13 with two fours and Mathew Patington 11with 2 fours only two players reached double figures. Ameer Ahmed Ahmed(LAS) 2-4,Nihar Alam (LMF) 2-7,Fayyaz Ahmed (LAS) 2-16,Mehdi Hasan (OS) 1- M,Kalam (OS)1-16 Bowled Well for Pakistan. He added  “It is an area we have not focused much on in the past, but certainly with the efforts of these players and organizers in this series it has certainly created awareness,” disabled cricket will have to go through the normal process to get recognition. The Chief Executive Committee (CEC) meeting next month will also discuss this recent brand of the game. “Disabled cricket is on the agenda albeit still in a small way and in the upcoming CEC meeting we are again having it on the agenda, so we can start to form a framework as we did for women’s cricket and hopefully it will gain momentum,” said Lorgat the skill levels seen during the series were amazing. Pakistan Captain Saleem Karim received the wining trophy’s T-20 and ODI Series, Matloob Qureshi was Man of the series from Pakistan  and Liam Thoms (Wk) Man of the series from England  while Ameer Ahmad was Man of The Final. Dubai().17 Feb.  England  disabled cricket team beat Pakistan disability cricket team by 4 runs in 2nd one day international  match the three ODI Series 1-1 level at ICC Global Cricket Academy  Dubai in first ever international disabled cricket series on Friday. The final ODI will play on Sunday.On The 2nd ODI Match both England and Pakistan Senior Teams Intridues Both Pak and Eng Disabillity Teams, Pakistan Bowlers Umer Gul, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajamal, Mohmmad Haeez, Yosnus Khan, Shoaib Malik, Imran Farhat, Wahab Riaz,Abdur Rehman,and Others players Bowled with Pakistan  Disabillity Team Players, and encourage Pakistan disabled players while Pakistan team coach Mohsin Khan, Aqib Javed and Ejaz Ahmad was gave some tips. Pakistan team Manager Naveed Akram Cheema, Hon. Sectary PDCA  Ameer uddin Ansari, Media Manager Muhammad Nizm, Coach Zafar Iqbal Chudary, Acct. Alam, Qureshi crack ton as Pakistan win over England

Duo put on 233 runs for the second wicket after Pakistan opener Altaf Ahmad was trapped Dubai: Pakistan's Major Hasnain Alam and Matloob Qureshi cracked centuries to steer their country to an exciting 79-runs victory over England in the first One-day match of the three match International Physical Disability Series being held at the International Cricket Council Global Cricket Academy Oval ground. Alam, who lost his left foot in a mine blast, cracked 136 runs off just 105 balls with 19 boundaries and one six while Qureshi whose right hand had to be amputed following a road accident hit an unbeaten 113 runs off 110 balls with 12 boundaries. Together they put on 233 runs for the second wicket after Pakistan opener Altaf Ahmad was trapped leg before by England skipper James Williams for four runs. It was a spectacular batting display from Pakistan after they won the toss and elected to bat. Pakistan posted a mammoth 285 for 5 in the allotted 40 overs despite Williams trapping two down batsman Rao Javed leg before.

DUBAI:- PAKISTAN BEAT ENGLAND IN 2ND T20 MATCH BY 20 RUNS AND COMPLETE THE WHITE WASH WITH 2-0 IN FIRST EVER T20 DISABALITY CRICKET SERIES AT ICC GLOBAL ACADEMY. THE THREE ODI SERIES WILL START ON TUESDAY.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE INTERNATIONAL CRICKET COUNCIL HAROON LOGART  WAS THE CHIEF GUEST IN  THE MATCH. BOTH THE TEAM INTRODUCE WITH CHIEF GUEST. HAROON LOGART SAID IN HIS SPEECH THE DISABLED CRICKETERS OF BOTH COUNTRIES ARE VERY TALENTED. THEY SHOWN POTENTIONAL AND THE SPIRIT AND PLAYED EXCELLENT CRICKET WITH DISABILITIES. I MUST CONGULURATE THE OFFICIALS OF PAKISTAN DISABLED CRICKET ASSOCIATION  AND ECB. HE ALSO ADDED THAT ICC WILL  KEEP AN  EYE ON DISABLED CRICKET. AT THE OCCASION PRESIDENT PDCA SALEEM KARIM  PRESENTED HONOURY SHIELD AND OFFICIAL TIE  OF PDCA TO ICC CHIEF HAROON LOGART WITH AMIRUDDIN ANSARI AND IAN MARTIN THE BOTH ARE SERIES DIRECTORS  OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRY. Openers Altaf Ahmed 37 in 30 balls with 5 fours and 1 six and Matloob Qureshi made 30 in  24 balls with 5 fours both added 68 runs for the first wicket, Abdullah 23 with 3 fours and Hasnain Alam countributed 22 runs with 3 boundries batted well for Pakistan disabled team. D.Hamm took 2 wkts for 15 runs, james Williams  1-21 and M. Partington 1-28.

Players defy all odds for a special contest

Dubai: Defying all odds and disabilities, Pakistan and England produced a game of exhilarating cricket at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Global Cricket Academy ground on Saturday evening.  In a well fought contest, Pakistan beat England by 14 runs in the first International Physical Disability Twenty20 Cricket Series match. It was cricket with a difference as the physically challenged displayed their talents. Pakistan skipper Salim Karim, whose right leg was left withered by polio and his left leg damaged in an accident, won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Altaf Ahmad and the one-handed Matloob Quraishi put on 26 runs for the opening wicket.  Shaun Rigby, who celebrated his 24th birthday during the match, removed both openers but Pakistan's wicketkeeper Danish Ahmad cracked 42 runs with support from Jahanzaib Tiwani (16) and Hasnain Alam (11). England skipper James Williams produced two brilliant run outs to restrict Pakistan to 120 for 8 in 20 overs. England got off to a great start with openers Gordon Laidlaw and 16-year-old Callum Flynn putting on 44 runs in six overs before left-arm spinner Fayyaz Ahmad struck vital bowls to dismiss Flynn (20) and down Matthew Parington for 6. Skipper Williams hit a defiant 20 before being stumped by Danish Ahmad. After Abdullah trapped Laidlaw leg before for 31, Tiwana picked three quick wickets for 14 runs. Ahmad, taking two tailenders' wickets, returned with figures of 4 for 12 runs to restrict England to 106 all out and also bag the man of the match award.

Umpire Razzaq Shah, who officiated the match with Fidel Jarry, said: & Bowling and batting with just one arm and one leg, they produced unbelievable skills. It was a delight to watch Pakistan opener Quraishi bat with one hand and take catches.& Pakistan and England were scheduled to play their second T20 match late yesterday and will be involved in three 40-over One Day Internationals. Amiruddin Ansari, the secretary of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA), is hoping that this series will appeal to countries like Australia, India and Sri Lanka. & We want to stage a World Cup for disabled cricketers, so for that we need the support of other countries and I hope in the next couple of years more and more countries will come to play this brand of the game,& said Ansari, a former Pakistan first-class cricketer.

PAKISTAN VS ENGLAND IN FIRST DISABLED SERIES

Disabled cricketers from England and Pakistan play their first-ever series this month, with organizers hoping the matches can inspire a big future in world disabled cricket. The three one-day and two Twenty20 match series in the United Arab Emirates coincides with a one-day series between the main cricket teams of the same countries, also being played in the UAE. Amir Uddin Ansari, secretary of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA), hoped the series would be a landmark. & Pakistan team will play three 40 overs matches and two Twenty20s at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai from February 11 and it is approved by the boards of both the countries,& said Ansari. & We hope it will be a landmark series and will be well received in the world, sending the message that no disability can stop human beings from shining,& said Ansari, a former first class cricketer. Pakistan is led by Saleem Karim, whose right leg withered from polio while his left was damaged in an accident. Karim assembled the team in 2006 and has since organized three national championships, sparking country-wide interest. & England have also shown great interest in disabled cricket and we were happy about how they supported our idea,& said Ansari, who hoped other countries like Australia, India and Sri Lanka would follow suit. & We want to stage a World Cup for disabled cricketers, so for that we need the support of other countries and I hope in the next couple of years more and more countries will come to play this brand of the game,& said Ansari.
